Hailing from El Paso, Texas, Cigarettes After Sex are set to take the stage at First Avenue on October 13. Forming in 2008 the band is best known for dream-like musical style falling into the genre of ambient pop. Lead singer and founder Greg Gonzales is known for writing music based on themes of romance and love which is shown across their hits like “Apocalypse” and “Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby.”
Under Partisan Records, they released their debut self-titled studio album in June 2017. The band’s current tour will also promote the upcoming release of their sophomore album, Cry, which is set to be released later this month.
