From recording in his bedroom to becoming a national name, Will Toledo has created something special with his band “Car Seat Headrest”. The band is touring their re-release of their iconic 2011 album “Twin Fantasy”. Toledo was limited by his equipment in his bedroom at the time, but now working in a big time studio, he could get the sounds he wanted.
After being away from the Minnesota club scenefor two years, Car Seat Headrest is set to play First Avenue’s Mainroom on Sept. 5. This is always a huge step for bands coming through Minneapolis. The opening band for the show is NAKED GIANT. A three piece rock band out of Seattle touring their debut EP “R.I.P.”. A quote from their First Avenue bio from the band’s drummer, Henry LaVallee, sums them up perfectly “I just want to make as much noise and have as much fun and get as sweaty as I can,”
The show is on September 5, doors are at 7:00 pm and the show starts at 8:00 pm.
