Becky Rae is not only is a singer/songwriter but a performer at heart. Her early influences were in alternative and folk music, Blind Melon, Toadies, Ani Difranco, Neil Young, Lisa Loeb and Fiona Apple. Over the years she has developed a liking for country, blues and pop. A few favorites are Lorde, Miranda Lambert, Lana Del Rey, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt, and Sia
Based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, she grew up surrounded by music at a very young age. She learned piano, sang in festivals and developed her love for singing at the music day care she attended. She played drums in school band but her desire to sing took over and after high school she went to McNally Smith and graduated with her a Vocal Performance degree in 2001. After college she joined her first original band and started her adventure as a songwriter. I few years later she went solo playing open mics and coffee shops.
