If you want to celebrate your Scandinavian heritage but are to cool / metal for Lutefisk, next week’s show by Amon Amarth at the Varsity should be just the thing for you.
The Swedish melodic death metal band is on tour promoting their new album “Jomsviking” that came out a few months ago. A review of the album states: “With bloody Viking themes, towering guitars and a wall of double-kick drums, Jomsviking is a meaty concoction that demands the attention of metal lovers far and wide.” Their live shows are well known for their intensity and the strong Viking theme of their music does not hurt at all. They will be supported by ENTOMBED A.D. and EXMORTUS.
