Dare Force is a legendary hard rock/heavy metal band that was initially formed in Minneapolis in the late 1970s. Dare Force released three albums in the 1980s, and performed in concert with numerous national acts such as KISS, Ted Nugent, Triumph, Kansas, UFO, the Joe Perry Project, and Ratt, as well as headlining in venues throughout the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. Dare Force also had several songs that received heavy airplay on rock radio stations throughout the midwestern US in the 1980s.
In 1989 Dare Force released its third CD, “Firepower,” with a reformed version of the band. The original lineup performed occasional reunion gigs after the original version of the band ended in 1987, but stopped performing live after their last reunion show in 2002.
On Saturday, November 24, Dare Force will be at Famous Dave’s in Uptown celebrating the release of their new CD, ‘Callin’ Your Name’! They will be playing their latest album in its entirety, along with a number of classic Dare Force songs and cover tunes. Get there early, as the first 30 customers will get a FREE CD!! Opening for Dare Force will be special guest, the Atomic Playboys.
Doors open at 7pm with the Atomic Playboys playing from 9-10pm. Dare Force will take the stage at 10:30pm.
